World-renowned American author Stephen King suggested that Twitter owner Elon Musk give his blue verification check to the Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation.
King wrote about it twitterReports Ukrinform.
“I think Mr. Musk should give my “blue shot” to a charity. I recommend the Prytula Fund, the author said …”.
He noted that the service only costs $8, so “Musk could have added a little more,” according to the author.
Serhii Prytula reacted to King’s post and thanked the author. “Our fund has received very serious advice. We continue to work for our victory!” – He wrote.
CNN previously reported that on April 20, Twitter began removing blue verification checks from the accounts of users who are not subscribed to Twitter Blue.
This service allows social network users to get advanced deals on the social network for a monthly subscription. The Twitter Blue subscription is $8 per month.
In particular, the blue ticks in the accounts of socialite Kim Kardashian, singer Beyoncé, billionaire Bill Gates, Pope, former US president Donald Trump and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey have disappeared.
Meanwhile, Stephen King reports that his account says he signed up for Twitter Blue, whereas he isn’t.
Musk responded to this in his comments to the post: “Please, namaste.”
Later, the owner of the social network said that some celebrities, including basketball players LeBron James and Stephen King, “personally paid” for Twitter Blue subscriptions.
As reported by Ukrinform, many media accounts on Twitter have cleared of signs confirming their affiliation or funding.
