Artificial intelligence has become the number one topic on the technology agenda. As with any popular topic, scammers are not afraid to lure users into an AI trap. Recently, we talked about the spread of infected AI ads in Google Ads. This time, an advertisement for an infected artificial intelligence appeared in Facebook ads. We collected ads for you!
Among the ads on Facebook, we came across two pages simulating Google Bard AI and OpenAI ChatGPT AI. When we checked the pages, we saw that they presented themselves as official social media accounts and directed users to a link.
These professionally crafted pages direct users to pages created on Google Sites. Adding “sites.google.com” to the domain name can give users confidence. But in reality this is not the case.
Google Sites is known as a free service from Google that allows you to easily create a web page. So the pages are not related to Google. When we browse the pages, we come across a design that points to a “tool” that will use artificial intelligence for advertisers and leads to a download link.
