The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 arrives in Colombia, similar to the model originally released by the brand in the country, but with a completely redesigned engine.

They hope to sell over 500 units in the country within the first year, reaching close to 9,000 million COP with this model alone.

This will have an impact on the creation of direct and indirect jobs with skilled labor, about 500 jobs with the release of this motorcycle on the market, which will contribute to the economic development of the country.

The 70s and 80s were to see an evolution and a moment when motorcycles would move from classic to modern designs, opening up a new field for technology and aesthetics. However, in Europe in 2008, the retro trend revived again, strengthening the fashion for modifying modern motorcycles and turning them into classics. This ancient practice has spread throughout the world and has been used in subsequent periods.

A year later, the company released its Classic 350cc version to other international markets, quickly becoming the company’s best-selling model worldwide for over a decade. This is one of the brand’s flagship motorcycles and many know Royal Enfield only from this model. Thanks to this, they managed to expand their borders and have a presence in more than 60 countries around the world.

With the legendary 350cc Classic engine in production for more than a decade, in addition to new emission regulations and requirements worldwide for emissions and cleaner technologies, there is a need to develop a new 350cc engine with lower emissions and more advanced technologies. , always maintaining a classic look and design

The goal is to be able to have an increasingly robust and complete portfolio in Colombia with the same models that are available worldwide. More than 500 units are expected to be sold in the country in the first year, and with this model alone, the turnover will reach 9,000 million COP.

In the new version, it was decided to keep the best aspects of the previous model and focus on those points that were subject to change in order to provide a better feel. One of the most important tasks was to obtain a classic-looking motorcycle, but equipped with a modern, reliable and almost vibration-free engine.

“The new Classic 350cc retains the classic design that made the previous one popular, but also wanted a completely new one. The task for the product design team was based on the following: change everything without changing anything. At the same time, the idea was that the essence of the motorcycle did not change, and all components had to be developed from scratch. Mauricio Salazar, Regional Manager at LAD Markets.

In relation to the previous model, aspects such as:

1. Completely new motor with improved technology and less vibration.

2. More modern and smoother gearbox

3. Completely new chassis with increased rigidity and cornering stability.

4. Finishing of all contact points, instrument panel (analog-digital), brakes (dual-channel ABS), electronics and the entire fuel injection system using the most modern components and systems.

5. Seat design and comfort for driver and passenger, among other changes.

The Classic 350cc reinforces the brand’s identity as the world’s oldest continuous production motorcycle manufacturer, this model best represents Royal Enfield’s DNA, the pure motorcycle art that sets them apart.

Salazar. “This launch should give back the opportunity to those who have always dreamed of owning this model, an iconic piece of the motorcycle world for its design and what it means to own the brand’s most classic model.”

The result is a motorcycle with a classic British look from the 50s, but with all the modern technology. Created jointly by the design centers of England and India with the distinctive character of Royal Enfield motorcycles.
