Google Docs: How to number pages in a document by…

The process is performed more fully on a computer and with minor changes in content.

The search bar is shaped like a pill in keeping with the recent Material Design 3 update. It automatically suggests frequently used suggestions that differ depending on the Google Workspace app you’re using, such as “Page Setup” in Docs , “Insert Rows/Columns” in tables, and ” Edit Topic” in slides. In addition, users can search for specific tools by name or description. For example, searching for “who last viewed this document” will open the action bar.

The new search tool is now also the location of the “find and replace” tool, which will be pinned under all search results. Touching the search bar will display past searches and will display keyboard shortcuts next to applicable tools in search results, encouraging users to remember them for the tools they use most often.

Prior to this update, you could find many features and tools in Google Workspace apps by going to the Help menu and selecting Search. This update makes it easier to find these search features and automatically populates the box with suggestions. It may take a while for the new search tool to arrive as this update is being rolled out gradually, although Google’s rollout schedule indicates it should be in Workspace and personal Google accounts by May 25th.

Google Now lets you sync your authenticator with your user account

Google is finally allowing the Authenticator to be linked to a user account. You can now sync two-factor authentication codes with your Google account, making the setup process much easier. As a result, if your phone is lost or stolen, recovering an account on another device will be less of a hassle.
Cloud sync is already relatively common in other two-factor authentication tools like Authy, but Google has been slow to implement it in Authenticator, which launched in 2010.
One big feedback we’ve received from users over the years has been about the difficulty of dealing with lost or stolen devices that have Google Authenticator installed.Christian Brand of Google wrote on his blog.Because one-time Authenticator codes were stored on only one device, the loss of that device meant that users lost the ability to sign in to any service where they set up two-factor authentication with the Authenticator.
