Ukrainian volunteers took up the development of the “people’s” combat missile “Trembita”. The work is carried out by engineers from the PARS volunteer design bureau and with the participation of volunteers from the public organization “Vidsich”. The designers plan to create a small cruise missile with a vibrating jet engine.
The missile is planned to be used to destroy objects and deplete the enemy’s anti-aircraft defense. It is stated that the missile can hit targets at a depth of 140 kilometers.
“Our simple missile is incomparably cheaper than the shots of the enemy anti-aircraft missile systems“, says the developers.
According to the plans, a salvo launch of 20 such missiles will allow to overcome the enemy’s anti-aircraft defenses and hit targets at a sufficient depth. Volunteers want to distribute the production of individual parts and components of the rocket in the conditions of garage workshops throughout Ukraine.
“There’s no way the Russians could destroy such an all-encompassing NarodOboronProm with their rusty S-300 or their high-precision “Calibers”.“, say the designers.
Declared characteristics of the “Trembita” rocket:
Equipped weight: 100 kg;
Weight of warhead: 20 kg;
Damage range: more than 140 km;
Speed: over 400 km/h;
Maximum flight altitude: 2000 m;
Minimum flight altitude: 30 m;
Engine: 30 liters.
Methods of launching the “Trembita” rocket
The rocket engine has no moving parts, is easy to manufacture, and runs on gasoline. The launch will be carried out by a pneumatic catapult. The warhead could have a thermobaric charge and a combined high-explosive charge of 20 kg.
