Core Ultra will be the new brand that Intel is launching in its next generation of processors, Meteor Lake. We don’t know if the intention is to order a catalog, draw attention to a specific technical characteristic or just a marketing matter.

The catalog of Intel processors is extensive and difficult to understand for the average user. The same can be said about its main competitor AMD. Too many models (some of which differ only by slight variations in operating frequency) and difficulty in understanding between a large number of characteristics: generation, architecture, series, technological process, platform, chipset, processor cores, threads, cache, operating frequency or its TDP consumption .

Soon we will have another factor referring to brand modifier where “Ultra” would replace the “i” currently used in Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9. Fernandes didn’t mention the “Core Ultra” brand, but his answer implies that he’s referring to this change in the brand modifier.
