The classic Wii is back, now for the Nintendo Switch. It’s been more than fifteen years since Wii Sports made its way into the living rooms of people of all ages. Many years after this release, Nintendo wants to offer the same fun experience to today’s Nintendo Switch gamers and bring back those nostalgic times for all of us who play the legendary Wii Sports.
On April 29, the Japanese brand brought back this classic by launching it Nintendo Switch Sportswith which you can enjoy sports from home again. We tested the game to share the analysis as fully as possible and encourage you to play it. Here’s a first look at the Nintendo Switch Sports.

Six sports you can play with friends
This time, Nintendo will make a van very similar to its predecessor, but it will refresh it in terms of graphics, settings and colors. it’s about six sports in which we find tennis, bowling, football, volleyball, badminton and chambara. We’ve already seen some in the Nintendo Wii version and others are brand new in this version.
All of these games are designed to play with the Joy-Con controller. And on this occasion, the movements of the players are so well detected by the sensor that you can play much more smoothly and accurately. In addition, you will have the opportunity to play solo, in pairs or form a four-member team, so you will spend incredible evenings with friends and, best of all, it will be from the comfort of your home.

Skittles
I must admit that bowling was crowned one of my favorite games. Up to four people can join in this game, although it will be necessary to have enough controls for everyone to play. It is very easy to play, like almost all disciplines that are presented to us. To do this, we need to move the controller as if it were a real bowling ball, and make the same move we would make in real life.
In addition, we can too control how to place or rotate our character before we fire. On the other hand, the game has the option that participants can play alternately or simultaneously, splitting the screen in half, so the progress of the game will be smoother and waiting for you will be less time consuming.

Volleyball
Up to four players can take part in this split-screen discipline. The reason is that everyone can be attentive to the actions of their characters. So all we have to do is move, pass, block, or finish. I should mention that cA split screen is a small inconvenience when four people play because it is a problem if the TV is not too big or the participants are too far from the TV.
Except, confrontations will always be two against twoso if we don’t have four people to play the missing gaps, artificial intelligence will fill them.

Badminton
Another of my favorite minigames! In the case of badminton, only one-on-one matches can be played. The pace of the game is very fast. because both opponents hit the steering wheel. The tip I will give you is that you should look hit at the right time because if it takes you too long, your character will fall to the ground and you will not be able to rise, which will make it impossible to react to the next blow of our opponent.

Jacket
I have to admit, it was one of the sports that didn’t make it to my favorites list, because even though we have a tutorial that explains how to play, I think it was the hardest game to master. Here the goal is to throw your opponent from the platform into the water below him and win. However, despite the tutorials that the game offers, it is not very clear how we should place the sword to stop the impacts or attack the other player.

Tennis
It is clear that Tennis could not be missed because it is one of the classic disciplines of the saga. You can join up to four players in this game, but if we only play in two, the game will take care of filling the missing gaps so that the teams form. But keep that in mindIt’s not artificial intelligence that plays like it’s a partner, so you will have to control both avatars during the game.
Playing is very easy, just like other sports, all you have to do is grab Joy-Con and move it like a racket at the right time to hit the ball. Adjust your moves to shoot with effect, or even hit the ball to lobby.
Football
One of the new Nintendo Switch Sports. In order to play, both left and right controls are needed, as the first will work to control our character, while the second will help us hit the ball.
Especially this game is a bit difficult to master, but gradually you will get acquainted and be able to control the ball, run or jumpbut watch out for the energy bar, which seems to have been taken from The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, because you might get tired.

new avatars
The characteristic characters of Nintendo are available in this version, but improved. On this occasion heAvatars reproduce movements much better when playing and have more detailed faces and some customization options.
You will be able to customize them and not just play with the default avatars that the game has since Nintendo Switch Sports offers the ability to compete locally and online, allowing you to win prizes to unlock items with which you can customize your avatar.
On the other hand, we have to praise what happened with the graphics, which is clearly more effective in this version, we are not only talking about the design of avatars, but also about scenarios that are full of details and colors and which are constantly changing according to the discipline we choose.

other functions
Easy to play: Before each game, there is a small tutorial to help you understand how to hold and move the joystick so you can play, so it doesn’t matter the age of the players and the experience and knowledge they have with Joy-Con, as it is designed to anyone could play it.
Ring Fit Adventure: There are more game options in the football discipline, one of which is penalties. You will need the Ring Fit Adventure foot strap for this option.
Multiplayer: All disciplines have the opportunity to compete from 2 to 4 players.
Time of each game: The games are very short. We can take this as an advantage if we find ourselves playing in more people, because it will allow the game to run more smoothly and everyone can play.

CURRICULUM VITAE
Nintendo Switch Sports returns the multiplayer entertainment it provided us 15 years ago with the Wii. The colors and settings are refreshing, and although the disciplines are less numerous than their predecessors, they are all fun. It’s the perfect game to spend an afternoon with friends or family. Because it is the lightest, most affordable and most portable Nintendo Switch, it will be difficult for the game to end up sitting on the shelf.
