As part of a new military aid package, the UK will deliver Malloy T150 unmanned aerial vehicles capable of delivering equipment and ammunition to frontline troops. According to The Time, the drones are manufactured by the British company Malloy Aeronautics.
The drones have a range of 70 km and can carry equipment up to 68 kg. Model T150 can work offline for 36 minutes. The cargo plane can be controlled from a laptop using the points on the map to determine the flight path.
“The T150 drone is designed for the toughest military conditions, demonstrating work in the Arctic, desert and sea. The ability to reliably lift 68kg in all weather conditions allows the T150 to deliver cargo anywhere. Thanks to the removable battery, you don’t have to wait a few hours to send the car back, which increases shipping speed,” says Malloy Aeronautics.
The drone can land and unload, or the cargo can be dropped during the flight. The drone is compact, it can be folded into a special case. The UAVs were tested by the British Royal Marines.
The drones are part of a new military aid package announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson. A new 300 million lira ($375 million) British military aid package was announced on Tuesday, 3 May. Source
