A apple launched this Tuesday (9) two of its most popular content creation tools for ipad. ABOUT final version ofvideo editing app and Logic Promusic creation app is now available for use on the brand’s tablets.
The event will take place on May 10 and the singer will present his new album at the Eventim Apollo in London.
Both apps have been redesigned to be more touch-friendly and better suited to the iPad. Final Cut Pro, for example, has a new rotation control to help with editing; The Live Drawing feature allows users to draw directly on top of their videos using the Apple Pencil, and multi-touch gestures are also supported.
Also new and iPad-specific is Pro Camera Mode, which allows creators to capture video on their iPad, edit it on the go, and publish immediately—all from a single device.
Both apps will be available on the Apple App Store starting May 23rd. The price for each app is $4.99/month or $49/year with a one-month free trial.
However, app compatibility is not the same for all iPad models. Final Cut Pro requires iPad models with an M1 chip (or later), while Logic Pro is available for iPads with an A12 Bionic chip (or later). Both apps require iPadOS 16.4.
Logic Pro for iPad also supports multi-touch gestures and Apple Pencil, and uses the iPad Pro’s five microphones to capture sound that you can then edit on the go.
New features include a new sound browser that shows instruments, audio patches, samples, loops and plugin presets in one place. The Pro Mixer feature uses iPad multi-touch gestures to allow users to move multiple faders at the same time, while the new Beat Breaker feature uses swipe and pinch gestures to allow creators to reshape and mix sounds.
Applications do not require the user to be completely keyboardless; both work with Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard Folio for iPad if you have them.
The availability of these apps for the iPad is another Apple effort to ensure that the most powerful iPad models match the company’s laptops.
