Google is once again slipping through the leaks and showing off a few details of the Pixel 7A in a promotional video even before its official announcement. According to the teaser information, the smartphone will be presented in four different colors and will be equipped with three cameras – a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide angle and a 13MP selfie camera.

The phone will feature the same chipset as the Pixel 7a Pro and a 6.1-inch OLED screen.
Considering that this is not a model of a “premium” line, this is the first time the company offers such quality photo material for mid-range cell phones. In addition, it is mentioned that the device will come with Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser and Night Sight tools, making more impact than expected for users in terms of images and editions.
According to previous leaks, the Google Pixel 7A will hit the market with a Tensor G2 SoC, Titan M2 chip, and a 6.1-inch FullHD+ screen with a display frequency of 90Hz. In addition, it will have IP67 certification and support for wireless charging. Rumors indicate that its recommended cost will be 499 US dollars (approximately 2400 reais excluding taxes and fees – in terms of May 10, 2023).
On the eve of Google I/O 2023
The video comes a few hours before the Google I/O 2023 presentation — scheduled for today from 2:00 pm BST. It is expected to go on sale immediately after the event, unlike the Pixel Fold, which insiders say should only hit stores on June 27th.
The company is expected to use this event to officially unveil new smartphones, reveal more details about their specifications and confirm (or not confirm) previously leaked information. It’s worth noting that the colors chosen by the Google Pixel 7A are aimed at not attracting as much attention, presenting four more discreet models to the public. The product is expected to be available in black, white, light gray and blue, but new colors may be released and sold in the future.
