This is usually because the user does not understand the distribution policy of updates. When Xiaomi announces the release of a new version of the firmware, it does not mean that it will appear on all smartphones on the same day. The release means it will be distributed to devices in China and regional versions of the firmware will ship much later. And they spread in waves. So, the update comes first on one part of the phones, then on the other, and so on.

Almost all Xiaomi devices have automatic downloads, so when a new version of the interface is available, it downloads itself and the user does not need to do any additional manipulations.

If you want to get updates as soon as possible, go to “Settings”, go to “About phone” and find “Update settings” there. In it you need to put the toggle switch in the active position in front of “Get updates sooner”. This will download previous versions of updates to your device, but be aware that sometimes they may contain non-critical bugs.
