Vladivostok has become an important automotive center in Russia

Various models of cars are still massively imported into our country. A large stream flows through the port city of Vladivostok. Customs representatives note that more than 60,500 vehicles crossed the border in the first quarter of this year. That is, compared to the same period in 2022, their number has doubled.

According to Far East Customs, most cars were imported through Vladik in March, with more than 22,000 vehicles crossing the border. For comparison: in the same month last year there were 11,000.

At the same time, the service notes that the volume of imports decreased by 14% in April to 19,500 cars. Konstantin Ponomarev, First Deputy Chief of Customs of Vladivostok, explained that this trend is related to changes in seasonal dynamics: the flow usually increases in the summer months and peaks in November. Note that all “Iron Horses” are imported by individuals, that is, they must be for personal use.

Also remember that in January the department summarized its work in 2022. So, for 12 months, about 197,000 cars “arrived” through Vladivostok, which is 72% more than in 2021.
