This significant event took place during the days of the Russian-Chinese Business Forum, which was held in Shanghai. Recall that the start of production of various auto parts and electric cars is one of Avtotor’s obligations under the current ten-year investment contract concluded with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Kaliningrad Region.
Various spare parts and assemblies will be used to increase the localization rate of already produced models and to prepare the production of electric trains. In addition, it is planned to supply spare parts to other Russian manufacturers.
The launch of the first phase of electric motor machining and assembly capabilities is expected before the end of 2023. The second phase, which includes the commissioning of full-cycle casting equipment, is scheduled for 2024.
