In the exhibition of the cargo department of the Chinese FAW at the COMvex-2023 exhibition, one could see the main novelty of this year – the J7 truck tractor with a 4×2 wheel arrangement, as well as a dump truck and a low loader on the FAW 3250 6×6 chassis. Remarkably, the equipment is already on sale at Russian dealers.
FAW J7 appeared in our country only in April of this year. According to the developers, the car can compete with the best European trucks. It is equipped with a 550 hp engine mated to a 12-speed ZF TraXon gearbox: the maximum torque developed by the power unit is an impressive 2300 Nm at 1000-1600 rpm. And the cost of such a tractor starts from 9,990,000 rubles.
In addition, a low loader on a FAW 3250 chassis with a 6×6 wheel arrangement, as well as a FAW 3310 tipper with a new body type, designed for the transport of bulk goods and asphalt, were brought to COMvex-2023.
Andrey Popov, director of the truck sales division of FAW-Eastern Europe, said that 3,000 heavy trucks of FAW were sold in Russia in the first four months of this year. Traditionally, 6×4 and 8×4 dump trucks continue to lead the way. Until recently there was an urgent demand for it, but this year that may shift in favor of tractors. That is, the manufacturer expects increased interest in the new J7.
