Why the brake pedal fails and the fluid level is normal
It often happens that when the car slows down, the driver feels a certain lethargy of the braking mechanisms or the main pedal in the car begins to go sharply to the floor. At the same time, the tank with the “brake” is full and dry everywhere – there are no leaks. The AvtoVzglyad portal tells where to “bury” the problem.

If you look at the brake master cylinder quite primitively and discard the valve system and circuit arrangement, it turns out that it works like an ordinary medical syringe. When pressure is applied to the piston, the piston pushes the brake fluid into the system.

In the event that the cuffs of this piston are badly worn, the “sludge” will seep into the space behind it, causing the pedal to fail. At the same time, the liquid level in the tank remains at the same level, since the entire structure is sealed. Unfortunately, in this case only disassembly helps, followed by repair or replacement of the brake cylinder.

Go ahead. Until now, you can find “drums” instead of disc mechanisms in the back of many cars. They are no less effective, but the closed design does not allow you to quickly check the wear of the brake pads. And not all models have a so-called auto-supply system.

If the consumables are worn out, then the distance from them to the “drum” cases will be too great. To overcome it, you need to pump up an impressive amount of “brake”. This is where the pedal fails. Only planned replacement of spare parts will help here.

Let’s not forget air, because DOT4 is an incompressible substance and air is the other way around. That is, if a gas plug appears in the system, it will be compressed when the brake is applied. As a result, the movement of the driver’s foot does not cause the brake pads to move. It is necessary to press again, so as not to get into someone’s rear bumper.

Air bubbles form for several reasons. The most common is an old fluid or the presence of microcracks in the joints of the highways. In the latter case, air is gradually drawn in from the environment. There is only one remedy – to replace both the “slurry” itself and the nozzles. And you will be happy.
