The yellow bus that picks up schoolchildren every morning is an indispensable part of American culture. Like Coca-Cola, Levi’s jeans and Ford cars. Our conditions are somewhat different and often require more cross-country capability, reliability and comfort in winter. Therefore, the vehicle deviates “slightly” from generally accepted standards.
The Miass plant “Ural” showed its deeply modified bus model 427701-75 for difficult operating conditions. Behind the long digital index is a one-piece monobody with no separate cabin, made of composite and multi-layer material. The car is equipped with a ventilation and heating system, climate control, a separate USB port and wireless charging for each of the 22 seats, as well as a toilet in the rear part of the cabin.
The Ural Arctic bus is armed with a 310 horsepower engine, combined with a 9-speed multiplier gearbox, 6×6 wheel drive and is designed for operation in temperatures down to -50 degrees in difficult off-road conditions and deep snow. The car will go into production in 2024.
