The deputies decided to extend the 50% discount when paying traffic police fines to penalties for not paying travel on toll roads.

The State Duma has passed a government law in first reading that provides for the possibility of paying only half of the fine for driving “free” on a toll road. The novel is about art. 32.2 of the Code of Administrative Violations, which sets out the basis for paying a discounted fine within the first 20 days from the date of the decision to violate the traffic rules. It is supplemented by a provision about unpaid travel on non-federal toll roads.

That is, for non-payment of trips, for example, along the M4 Don or M11 Neva, fines must be paid in full, without any discount of 50 percent! The possibility of reducing the amount of the fine by half applies only to cases of free travel on local payers – regional, municipal and other similar ones.

Apparently, the government has decided to give motorists such an option in connection with the fact that it is now intended that local authorities can set their own rates for toll roads within their jurisdiction.
