Omoda has released the timing of the appearance in Russia of a new unusual crossover

The Chinese announced the entry into the Russian market of the first electric car in the history of the Omoda brand. We are talking about the crossover Omoda C5 EV, which will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The manufacturer not only positions the Omoda C5 EV crossover as “green, but also creates a new lifestyle for consumers who want to experience the technologies of the future available in the present”. Agree: sounds ambitious. Especially considering that electric cars are not popular in our country. However, this does not deprive the brand of the right to have such a model in its portfolio for the sake of image.

Meanwhile, the eponymous crossover with traditional internal combustion engines has gained incredible popularity in Russia. The demand for the car allowed the brand to get into the “tops” of sales, and every third crossover sold on the market was found to have all-wheel drive. So, according to the May results, AWD’s share was 34.5% of the total volume of Omoda C5 sold.

By the way, in addition to the electric version of the C5, the family of “fashionable” models will soon be supplemented by an urban “lighter” with the GT nameplate. You can learn more about it here.
