On these “circles”, the normal concentric lane markings are replaced by spiral ones. Theoretically, such a measure should allow motorists to cross the “circle” without changing lanes and slowing down. In practice, the non-standard arrangement of lane markings leads to accidents.

Once Rosavtodor even refused to make the marking of “turbo crossings” in GOST. The experts found that to enter such an intersection, the car has to change lanes to the desired lane in advance, which most drivers are not aware of. And when leaving the left lane of the “turbo intersection”, the car rolls out into the forehead of a car entering such a circle. As a result, everyone is constantly “cutting” each other, grossly violating traffic rules and causing accidents. As you can see, the conclusions of Rosavtodor specialists are an empty slogan for the Moscow department.

We also note that, in addition to creating emergency “turbo crossings”, Mr. Liksutov promised to add additional lanes in the following sections: exit the outer Moscow ring road to the M2 “Crimea” highway, on Nizhnyaya Maslovka Street at the exit of the tunnel towards the Third Ring Road, on Novinsky Boulevard, as well as on Mosfilmovskaya and Barrikadnaya streets.
