Chinese sedans are ready to smash Russia, the Duma is drivers’ brains and car owners are dealers: results of the week

Chery gave a lavish presentation of its first sedan in years, the mid-sized Arrizo 8. Meanwhile, Changan rolled out a new, more expensive Uni-V liftback package and Kaiyi is preparing to launch a budget version of the E5 model. Not without social news. The Supreme Court even allowed car owners to return cars to dealers even for minor defects, and deputies suggested marking the fine for excessively tinted side windows. The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy, Yaroslav Nilov, submitted to the deputies a draft amendment to Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – the amendment punishing drivers for illegal dyeing. He suggests marking the foil penalty on the front side windows and only applying it to the “rolled up” lobash. But what are the real prospects for this initiative?

And other encouraging news: The Supreme Court allowed the return of cars to car dealers even for minor defects. The driver’s seat upholstery is worn out by a car owner from Yaroslavl on a warranty car. The dealer fixed the problem, but it soon came back. Then the hero of this story demanded that the seller replace the passenger car with a new one and, of course, was refused …
