Changan, which has long been thinking about localizing its products in Russia, has been actively looking for a production location. But interestingly enough, the Chinese decided to put on the assembly line not the CS35 Plus, the bestseller of the brand, but the Eado DT sedan (not to be confused with Eado Plus), a direct competitor of LADA Vesta.
There are not many details about the localization of production of Eado DT, a model that is not officially sold in Russia today. It is only known that the Chinese intend to start with an SKD. The specific locations where Changan is most likely to go have also not yet been named.
Our colleagues from the Drom editorial office managed to find out what Russian buyers of the Eado DT are offered with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 136 hp. Of. and a four-speed “automatic” Aisin. But again, there are no details, no estimated launch dates and, of course, pricing.
Recall that the Changan line in the Russian Federation now includes three “cars” – relatively inexpensive sedans Alsvin and Eado Plus, as well as a larger Uni-V liftback. For the first (107 hp turbo engine and a five-speed “robot”), dealers ask from 1,619,900 rubles, for the second (155 hp supercharged engine and a seven-speed “robot”) – from 2,159,900. -V (181 “turbosila”, 7 DCT), then the starting price is 2,629,900.
