Good news for those who have been looking for a brand new low-cost sedan: you can finally look at the BAIC dealer and “feel” the U5 Plus. The four-door, similar in size to the Kia Cerato, is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 113 hp. with., which can work both with a five-speed “mechanics” and with a variator. The cost of the basic version is 1.7 million rubles, and the “top” is offered for almost 1.9 million.
Looking for a budget crossover? BAIC has this too. The X35 model is also already available, in two versions. The first is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 116 forces and a five-speed “mechanics”. The second is a 150 hp 1.5 liter turbo engine and a CVT. But here, unfortunately, the drive cannot be selected: only the front is offered. As for the prices, for the “base” they ask from 1.7 million rubles, and for the “top” – 2,140,000.
Let’s add that BAIC’s plans are big and very ambitious: in the near future, the Chinese plan to launch the X7 and X5 mid-sized crossovers, as well as the BJ40 SUVs (it is already on the Avtotor conveyor in test mode) and BJ60 . In addition, electric cars will be on sale. But there are no details about them yet.
