Hello researcher: what is dangerous about “red” and “green” diesel fuels
Driving along a suburban highway, preferably away from major cities, you see cardboard signs offering to buy diesel fuel much cheaper than at a gas station. There is always a risk, so it is better to look at the goods before buying. If it turns out to be green or, even worse, red, you should think twice before making a deal. Why, explains the AvtoVzglyad portal,

Everyone wants to save money and always, regardless of social status and the thickness of the wallet. Looking at the cost of fuel at Russian gas stations today, this desire is most acute. Literally – it rolls to the throat. In three out of four cases, however, the savings are indirect.

We will not repeat about outright fakes and fuel oil – they have been told repeatedly. Unfortunately, things are still there, many gas stations still strive to sell a little “stove” to the greedy driver so that it would not be customary to count pennies. However, there are other very straightforward ways to cash in on ignorance: “color fuel,” for example. Have you not come across this yet? We tell.

“Green” diesel is so called in a literal and figurative sense. First, it’s really green. And secondly, it allows you to significantly reduce emissions into the atmosphere, because it is not made from oil, but from oil. Yes, yes, the same story from Europe, when used cooking oil is poured into the tank of commercial vehicles.

The emphasis on the phrase “commercial vehicles”: how a modern engine, fragile, like a butterfly’s wing, will cope with such fuel is a big question. The good old DT will digest it without choking, but the contemporary is not a fact. Something in the manuals for the operation of the car, not a word about such fuel was noticed. Injectors, injection pump, how are you?

Red diesel is much closer to the usual, well-known fuel. This is what it really is, but with one caveat. Fuel is tinted red and is sold to farmers and some state organizations at a special price, much lower than the market price.

They “paint” it for a simple reason: if a traffic cop brings a napkin to the exhaust, he will see a “marker” and understand that a private trader cannot buy such diesel fuel at a gas station and from someone who was not afraid to break the law. Because it is this diesel fuel that cannot be sold. Then there will be confrontations, phone calls, testimonials and at best a “witness”. At worst, complicity. Do you need it?

The best way to save fuel is to get your car in order, service it, fit stock tires and stop experimenting with the throttle. All other methods lead to later waste: time, effort, nerves, money. Is such a saving worth the candle? Responsible for everyone and only for yourself.
