The lubricant in it is not always designed for extremely high temperatures, and it can also be simply old, partially lost its properties. Therefore, the lubricant flows out or dries out, causing a malfunction. Bearings are expensive. Yes, and on some models it is changed along with the hub assembly, which costs a pretty penny.

Thermal paste will help solve the problem. It dissipates heat faster, extending component life. Incidentally, the mating surfaces of aluminum rims can also be machined, as this metal has good thermal conductivity. And the wheels will be easier to remove.

An experiment was conducted on the Internet. On a regular passenger car, they accelerated to 80 km / h and braked to the ground. After just 5 delays, the discs had warmed up to almost 200 degrees! The temperature of the hub was almost 100 degrees at the same time! And after processing with thermal paste, the indicator dropped to 85 degrees. So there is a positive effect.
