Small series workshop: what LADA and UAZ look like for civil servants
The decision recently announced by Vladimir Putin to transfer all domestic officials to Russian cars is gaining weight like a snowball flying off a mountain. In Special Purpose Garages it is already being said that the era of Hyundai and other Genesis has come to an end and that soon everyone will be driving a LADA Aura. Should it be taken for granted? Cost. But with reservations. Details – in the material of the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

All cars in the garages and parks of state buildings are bought by tender: there are no gifts, personal investments and other “gray schemes” there. In addition: cars are maintained in the same way – the document flow is strict, it will not work to soil, because it immediately pops up on the ubiquitous Internet. Thanks to the development and accessibility of the World Wide Web in Russia, many antics and liberties of the bureaucracy are becoming common knowledge, and now is not the best time to “get into daddy.” So they will ride on what the president has allowed.

Homely so homely. Of course, fearing to arouse anger from the highest point of Mount Olympus, officials will switch to cars that are outwardly indistinguishable from the new Lads and UAZs. The emphasis, of course, is on the word “appearance”, because the interior decoration will be hidden by dull shades (who can do it, can), and only the driver and the mechanics who operate it will be devoted to the technical characteristics of a particular car .

The point is small: how do you combine the usual comfort and luxury with new requirements and government purchases? The answer is already available – small series workshops, which exist in one form or another in all domestic factories. What is produced there? For example, in Nizhny Novgorod, such a workshop for many years assembled the Chaika, and then various rare modifications of the Volga. Today, such cars are easy to find on bulletin boards: different interior, different build quality – they were still handmade – different elements and options.

But the most interesting thing is under the hood. For example, at the moment you can buy a GAZ-3102 at a very humane price, equipped directly from the factory with a Toyota engine and an automatic transmission. Outwardly – the usual “Volga”, but inside – actually a foreign car. No, this is not a “collective farm” or self-made work of later years, but a real factory machine, which can also be seen in the documents. Of course, she “served”, and then she was taken out of service and sold.

And there are hundreds of such examples, even a particularly thorough search is not required. So the calmness with which officials accepted the president’s will is understandable. Small batch shops will be loaded with orders – which will then be passed quietly under government tenders – and those in power will continue to travel in the usual comforts. This has already happened more than once, so innovation, settings and a lot of time are not needed. It will be easy to do it “as it should” – there are abilities. And trained people too.
