There are premieres for special occasions, such as California’s Monterey Car Week or, at worst, the Goodwood Festival of Speed. One of those novelties is the Pininfarina B95 Speedster, the world’s first, in fact electric, hyper-speedster, or barchetta, as the manufacturers call it.

This beautiful but fantastically impractical and dangerous roofless toy with four electric motors for almost 1900 “horses” will be copied only 10 times on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of Automobili Pininfarina. The date is being prepared to celebrate in 2025. Each of the buyers of the barchetta, meaning the letter B in the name, will receive a minimum of $4.8 million.

In addition to the exclusive design, the kit includes a four-motor electric propulsion system powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery. The electric motors together produce 1,400 kW (1,877 hp), which allows you to shoot up to 100 km / h in less than 2 seconds.

The B95 is charged with fast DC chargers up to 270 kW, while from 20% to 80% this demon picks up in just 25 minutes. The range of the car is not mentioned, and who cares if the toy is purely for the track. But the maximum speed is indicated in the region of 305 km / h. And so that passengers, like flying out of a window, are not accidentally blown out of the cabin, electronically adjustable aeroscreens are provided in addition to the “caps”.
