It became known when Russian sales of new Kaiyi and BAIC crossovers will begin

The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant, which has taken over not only the production but also the distribution of cars of the Chinese Kaiyi, BAIC and SWM brands, has announced the launch of four new crossovers. And they all appear just about: in dealer showrooms before the end of this fall.

As for the first brand Avtotor partnered with, i.e. Kaiyi, soon we will see the mid-sized X7 Kunlun and the compact X3 in the showrooms. The first will go on sale in November, and the second – before the end of August. Prices have not yet been announced, but it is known that there will be three trim levels for the X3. By the way, in the near future the E5 sedan will also receive two new versions.

BAIC will also “speak” with two new products: sales of the X55 crossovers (the one that recently appeared on the Avtotor conveyor) and X75 will open in the fall. But also here unfortunately without details and prices. Recall that the Baik lineup in Russia is now represented by the U5 Plus sedan, the X35 SUV and the BJ40 SUV. “Fortieth” is waiting for expansion: a modification with a two-liter “diesel” with 163 horsepower should appear. Of.

Finally, Avtotor will also introduce electric vehicles to the domestic market. Admittedly, which – Kaiyi, BAIC or something else – have not yet been decided. There is no clarity on the timing: the only thing that can be said for sure is that “green” transport will appear in 2024 at the earliest.
