This week, the Moscow and all-Russian car community was actually concerned with one question – how and with what we are going to repair, service and maintain the car in the new conditions. Fuel was added to the fire from two watering cans at once: first, the large German troika decided to completely disconnect Russian customers from the service, and then the largest specialized exhibition for repairs and gas stations was opened in Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya.

Against the background of regular anti-Russian sanctions, what they saw there was, if not a balm for an injured engine, at least a cause for optimism. So, we repeat, the exposition surprised with an incredible number of participants. At least several Chinese provinces came in full force from the Middle Kingdom to the Mother Seat to offer cooperation to Russian car services and manufacturers.

Dozens of Chinese with hand-held translators approached everyone, both idly and purposefully wandering, to identify needs. No, our strategic partner wanted to tell something about himself and his company: the same thing was shown on the screen again and again – we are looking for partners in Russia.

And the Chinese have something to offer: from light bulbs, rags and films to cylinder heads, blocks and cylinders. Crankshafts, camshafts, injectors and the like lay in a wide variety on tables in small colorless pavilions and hung in colorful display cases on huge bright stands. Come-choose-negotiate.

The second important element of the exhibition that caught my attention is the diversity of domestic enterprises. It may sound like a long story, but car parts are also produced in Russia. Moreover, judging by the size, they came to the exhibition not just “under pressure”, but purposefully and consciously, solving certain problems.

Where have we seen employees of Russian booths come forward to introduce themselves and talk about themselves? Wash and wake up? No, it didn’t help. However, there is a very understandable explanation for this: the Chinese expansion was noticed not only by visitors, but also by the participants of the event. And they noticed that a long time ago, so for successful and profitable work in the native market you will have to move. But the coin also has a flip side.

– The abundance of Chinese proposals is nothing new to us. Our market has been open for a long time and any manufacturer who wants to be represented on it can legally open a representative office, find a distributor and sell its products. So many manufacturers of spare parts and units have been represented on it for a long time.

Another thing is that a vacuum has arisen in connection with the departure of well-known world brands. Logistic chains were broken, official supply channels ceased to exist. So a replacement was needed, which was immediately found: you see it for yourself, with your own eyes. There is nothing to worry about, it is a normal working situation. After all, the Chinese should be regarded not only as competitors, but also as partners in the organization of contract production.

We also complete our parallel brand G-part at the expense of trusted partners from China. We have a special service that monitors quality, because the most important thing is not the country of origin, but the guarantee and confidence in the details, ”said Vasily Pletnikov, director of spare parts sales of CTT Group, about the situation to the AvtoVzglyad portal .

In addition to goods from the Middle Kingdom and domestic manufacturers, the MIMS pavilions are full of Turkish oils and consumables, Indian and even, behold, Korean products. Not all sanctions – sanctions, apparently someone else has to make money.

By the way, about the sore points: the exhibition is specialized, so there are a lot of business representatives. Either they got bored, or they realized that they can’t stay put anymore and they have to keep working: sign new contracts, find new partners, offer new services.

So the atmosphere is very stormy and rich, which you could only dream of last year. Judging by real events, the bottom had – at least – been found. It’s time to step away from it.
