So, the main advantages of cars made in China, the Russians call the availability of car parts (this option was chosen by 35% of respondents) and wide model lines (34%). Another 8% noted the relatively low insurance costs, 6% noted the high quality of service. The remaining 17% of respondents do not see any merit in the “Chinese” or simply abstained from voting.
Respondents were also asked how, in their opinion, the ‘heavenly’ cars are ready for Russian weather conditions. The majority – ie 61% – believe that cars from China are adapted to our climate, but not all. 20% of respondents are optimistic, noting that the Russian winters do not frighten the “Chinese”, pessimistic (clicking on the option “cannot stand frost”) – 19%.
Of course, as part of the investigation, they asked about the shortcomings of Chery, Geely and other Khaveils. The most popular complaints: thin metal and parts not designed for high lateral loads and torsion (44% of survey participants), corrosion (42%), poor quality electronics and spare parts (29%), suspension too “soft ” for Russian roads (28%) and weak paintwork (24%).
It remains only to add that more than 1,500 men and women aged 18 to 65 participated in the study of Otkritie Avto. Those who already own “Chinese” or so far only plan to acquire it.
