Russia’s largest exhibition of trucks and commercial vehicles, Comtrans-2023, has opened in Moscow. On it, manufacturers present the latest innovations, and one of them was the Nizhny Novgorod Gazelle with a robot transmission. A real sensation!

Gazovsky Komtrans with a “robot” is one of the main premieres of the exposition. It used to be extremely difficult to imagine such a change, but today it is a reality. The car in the photo was made at the request of logistics employees of city delivery services – for drivers who have to deal with constant traffic jams. In such circumstances, the two-pedal version is more than relevant.

At the moment, it is known that the transmission was developed by specialists of the Gorky Automobile Plant. It consists of a mechanical box and is equipped with original actuators, as well as a control unit. Clutch, of course, one.

This means that an interruption of the power current during switching cannot be avoided. That is, the driver feels small pecks, but no fatigue from constant gear changes in traffic jams. Indeed, this is what the people of Nizhny Novgorod were trying to achieve.
