Toyota has launched a completely new model in its product line – a large crossover Century. Now the Japanese brand has its own “clone” of the premium Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Crossover Toyota Century received a conservative “square” body design. The huge radiator grille is decorated not with the usual Toyota logo, but with a stylized profile of the Phoenix bird. The same “bas-reliefs” are located on the hubs of the rims. The dimensions of the novelty are 5205x1990x1805 mm. Wheelbase – 2950mm. Empty weight – 2570 kg. The saloon has four seats and for the main occupants there are two throne seats (folding to recline) in the second row.

No specifications are advertised for the widescreen entertainment system built into the center console. The interior photos show a digital instrument panel, both physical and touch controls, a large center console with a conventional shifter, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof and a variety of design touches designed to create a sense of luxury.

The car is powered by a hybrid powerplant, including a 3.5-liter V6, mated to an electric continuously variable transmission. The power sources are not specified by the manufacturer. Apparently in imitation of Rolls-Royce, which prefers not to bore its customers with such technical details. Century has a full ride. There is a rear axle steering system.

Toyota Century can travel up to 69 km on electric traction. It takes 3.5 hours to fully charge the battery from a household power outlet. The model is already on sale in the domestic market, where prices start at 25,000,000 yen (about 16.5 million rubles). No more than 30 crossovers will be produced per month at the plant in the Japanese city of Tahara.
