“Brains” and sensors of the electronic stabilization system of cars almost became the first victim of international sanctions against the domestic industry. But the problem will be solved in the very near future – it is believed that it will be before the end of this year.

– According to ESP, we have a planned launch in December, now we are going into certification. In the first half of 2024, it is planned to install systems on AVTOVAZ vehicles, Andrey Butnev, technical director of Itelma, said at the Comtrans-2023 exhibition.

It is known that the production of ESP systems will be organized at the company’s Kostroma plant. They are planned to be installed on LADA Vesta.

It was previously reported that anti-lock braking systems (ABS), manufactured by Itelma, are already fitted to cars from the Togliatti car factory. Their release began in July of this year in Kostroma. Whether Itelmovskaya repackaged automotive electronics is Chinese or not is not known for certain. It remains to be hoped that their products are still really Russian, and not the fruit of “high-tech” plywood labeling.
