Very often, motorists stop their “chariots” at a distance from police officers along the road. There are several reasons for this: I slowed down, did not immediately notice the wave of the “striped stick”, or other cars were blocking the side of the road. A lightning-fast response is also not always conducive to heavy traffic on the road. What should you do if you stop far from a traffic police officer?

First a little theory. The administrative regulations of the Ministry of the Interior state that if the traffic controller signals the driver to stop, the location of this stop must be communicated to the police officer. However, the direction of the stick is rather a formality here, since neither the same regulations nor the traffic rules say anything about the distance between the traffic police inspector and the driver of the stationary car.
In other words, the law allows any distance a driver may maintain when attempting to park at the request of a police officer. In practice, the majority of “drivers” who have stopped at a distance from law enforcement officers begin to put the car in reverse, trying to make the task of the guard who wants to communicate with the “pilot” easier. However, this is strictly prohibited.
For reversing on the roadway, the fine ranges from 500 to 2,500 rubles – depending on where the negligent driver decided to engage the rear – at an intersection, a crosswalk, the side of the road or a highway. It’s another matter if a representative of the authorities himself signaled him to stand back. Subsequently, liability expires, as with other traffic violations caused by the demands of traffic police officers.

What if you leave the car and go to the mechanic yourself? For God sake. Although this is not mandatory. The driver’s ‘gays’ can only ask him to get out of the car to check his documents. But there’s no way to force it. Unless of course you are a wanted criminal or someone who ignores the legal requirements of police officers.

The easiest way in such a situation is to simply wait for the law enforcement officers to come to you. And the infamous regulation requires them to approach the driver immediately – no matter how far away the stationary vehicle is. But if people in uniform have to walk for a long time, they most likely will not have to count on pleasant and friendly communication.
