How gasoline dealers shamelessly set up Russian President Vladimir Putin
Players in the Russian oil products market reacted in an extremely revealing manner to Vladimir Putin’s statements about the staggering increase in fuel prices in Russia. The thirst for profit is above all!

Motor fuel exchange rates continue to break all historical records. Today on the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange (SPIMEX) AI-95 gasoline has risen in price to almost 76,000 rubles per ton (56.7 rubles per liter), AI-92 – up to 68,500 (51 rubles per liter), and diesel fuel reached the level of more than 72,000 rubles (55.4 rubles per liter). Over time, the consequences of this round of continued price increases will reach the gas station.

It is curious that only yesterday during his speech at the Eastern Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted: “Appropriate decisions were taken to maintain equality between prices in the foreign market and the domestic market, and then these mechanisms were canceled . Well, the government has not responded in a timely manner to changes in the global market due to rising oil prices.”

– The government does this. The instruments are known, there are agreements, I hope that this will be reflected in the actual state of affairs,” he reassured the concerned public about the continued increase in fuel costs.

The listeners understood: the authorities were serious about suppressing the trend towards a rapid increase in fuel prices in the country. But the next day it became clear: the words of the head of state are one thing, but the fuel industry says “nothing personal” about it.

The stock market did not react in any way to certain agreements mentioned by the leader of the nation, nor to the government ‘activities’ that were hidden from the eyes of mere mortals. Putin is absolutely right: the mechanisms for adjusting fuel prices are indeed known to everyone. But the trick is that no one wants to use them.

Some experts have recently intensively promoted on social networks and telegram channels the theory that the increase in gasoline and diesel prices is caused by certain “gray” exporting companies purchasing them on the St. Petersburg International Trading Exchange. In fact, the flow of gasoline and diesel exported abroad by domestic oil companies themselves, bypassing exchange mechanisms, is much more powerful: no more than 9% of the fuel produced by Russian refineries is sold at the St. Petersburg site. .

Other analysts explain the increase in fuel prices in our country by the fact that the price in Russia is “linked” to global dollar rates. However, the statistics show that since the beginning of this year, petrol prices on, for example, foreign wholesale markets have increased by approximately 35%. And on the Russian stock exchange the price rose by 80%! Where’s the logic, you ask? There is no logic here!

It’s just that domestic oil tycoons shamelessly raise domestic fuel prices to increase their income. At the same time we come up with all kinds of obscure ‘objective’ explanations for what is happening. And they don’t care about Putin’s words! As they say: “Vaska listens and eats!”
