Respondents may be forced to give up their car as soon as possible due to financial necessity (24%), the appearance of a tempting vehicle on the market (19%) or simply because they are tired of their car (18%). Technical problems (13%) and a sudden move (10%) can also be reasons for an urgent sale.
The majority of respondents believe that it is necessary to replace a car after 5-7 years – before it loses value (30%), and 27% believe that it is necessary to replace the car after 2 -3 years to sell. 26% are convinced that a car should be pumped out before serious technical problems arise, and only 6% can afford to replace a car just because a new model comes on the market.
From January to August this year, the greatest demand among Russians was for used cars of the brands Kia (10%), Toyota (9%) and Hyundai (7%), and the most popular models were Hyundai Solaris, LADA Granta and Kia Rio.
