As AVTOVAZ President Maxim Sokolov told RIA Novosti, the Togliatti automaker plans to keep the cost of the most budget version of the LADA Granta within 700,000 rubles. “We have a strict, controlled agreement with our dealers that such models are sold at prices recommended by AVTOVAZ. During the purchasing process, customers can purchase additional mats, request additional decorative protection, noise protection and perhaps purchase some accessories, but the recommended base price for Granta is below 700,000 rubles,” he said.
At the same time, Sokolov noted that this initial price will remain until the end of this year, but will of course be adjusted in the future “depending on inflation processes.”
Let’s add that Granta is by far the most popular car not only from the LADA line, but also in the market as a whole. According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), dealers sold 132,068 Grants in January and August this year. And the total sales of Togliatti cars reached 206,321 units, which is exactly double the result of the same period in 2022.
