Production of Skoda brand cars begins in Kazakhstan. 26 billion tenge, that is, about $55,000,000, will be invested in organizing production and dealer network of the Czech brand.

According to Forbes Kazakhstan, the signing of an agreement between the Kazakh car company Allur and the German concern Volkswagen took place via video conference.

— Cooperation with a European partner as a whole will create approximately 1,500 jobs. This includes the staff of a broadly representative office throughout the country, which is an integral feature when working with a brand of this size, and plant specialists, whose training, as well as further localization, are included in the regulations of the signed agreement,’ noted Allur representative Aidar Uteshev.

He also added that a group of engineers from the Allur plant are already at Skoda’s production site in the Czech Republic.

In 2022, this European brand produced 780,000 cars, and this year it plans to increase volume by adding new locations around the world to its production belt, including in Kazakhstan.
