Once resourceful car owners do not use Coca-Cola! However, there is another interesting way to use Coke in a car. Which, says the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

Suppose you decide to do something with your ‘swallow’ again. Come to the garage and go to work, thinking: now I can do it in a few hours, there is nothing complicated – just unscrew a few bolts. And they don’t unscrew. And this way and that – well, it just doesn’t work. Thoughts come to mind about using your favorite grinder, but there are no spare bolts, which means it’s not worth the risk. What do you have to do then?

Whatever you say, the situation is complicated. You have to use your mind and remember old-fashioned methods. Soviet drivers did not have such an abundance of tools and all kinds of car chemicals, but they somehow got out of the situation! Many use orthophosphoric acid. The same one that is used as a regulator in Coca-Cola.

Of course, in the 80s of the last century, when Coca-Cola just began to appear in the USSR, it was very different from the modern one. In addition, it has one unpleasant feature: after “working” with this drink, your hands, tools and in general everything around you become sticky. But this “style” of popular soda can be forgiven – the main thing is that it is really effective.

What exactly needs to be done? Soak a cloth in Coke and wrap it around the acidified closure. We wait until phosphoric acid eats away the rust and oxides, then we take the key and try to overcome the stuck bolt one more time. Did not succeed? We repeat the procedure from beginning to end – probably there was not enough time for the “chemistry”.

If you don’t have Coca-Cola on hand, you can use citric acid. It not only corrodes rust, but also removes dirt from the bolts, leaving a kind of protective film on the metal. Moreover, it can handle the latter task even better than orthophosphor.

Whatever “improvised means” you choose, you should remember that the process will not be fast – special chemistry, of course, is much more effective. But in the absence of fish, cancer, as you know, is a fish. Broken or stripped bolts are worse anyway. So it makes sense to stock up on cola or citric acid and reserve a place for it in the garage. Everything can happen.

In general, to avoid getting into such situations, you should regularly check the fasteners and check their condition. After all, no one other than the car owner will take care of his “swallow”.
