The Russian holding company Avtotor has patented a logo for two new brands: AmberAuto and AvtotorAmber. They are intended for a promising subcompact electric vehicle, which is already being prepared for production.
As Drom.ru reports with reference to data from Rospatent, the brands “AmberAuto” and “AvtotorAmber” refer to an electric car, a completely original development, built from Russian components. Most of the parts for the car will be made in Kaliningrad. The two-seater subcompact electric vehicle from the L7e class (heavy four-wheelers) will be called Amber – or “Yantar” in Russian.
Judging from the sketches, it will have a three-door, single-volume body and an interior with four seats, and the length of the electric car will be about three meters. The weight of the Yantar body should be only 106 kg, while it will be 79% recyclable. Amber production will start next year, prices remain a mystery.
