According to the results of a survey conducted by Renaissance Insurance and Autocode, Russian drivers consider inattention (63%), careless behavior (61%), a tendency to extreme driving behavior (57%) and a tendency to extreme driving behavior as the most common causes of accidents . inability to assess risks (56%) and traffic situation (55%).
The majority of Russians (76%) believe that the threat on the road comes mainly from motorists, and not from pedestrians (24%). Respondents consider drivers distracted by phones and conversations with passengers (71%), drinkers (69%) and homegrown street racers (48%) as sources of risk.
But 95% of respondents believe in the existence of an ideal motorist who does not cause danger (87%), uses turn signals (80%), keeps his distance (70%), lets people through in traffic jams (66%) and monitors the condition of the car (55%).
We would like to add that 1,600 respondents over 18 years old, living in major cities of Russia, participated in the survey.
