In addition to the legal traffic rules, there are also unspoken rules, including ethics and common sense. However, this does not mean that they must be observed without exception. However, it is better not to neglect them. And here’s why.

First of all, you must respect other road users on the roadway. But if you are not one of those people, imagine that your smug person could suddenly take the place of one of your downstream neighbors. Everyone is at risk of getting into a difficult situation, breaking down on the highway or having an accident.

Therefore, you should not show sarcasm and ridicule, attempts to teach a lesson or banal indifference. Assistance and assistance are the most important unspoken rules of the riding club. It is not without reason that they say that you should treat others as you would like to be treated. I drove by – wait for the “answer”, it’s not far away…

When we talk about specific cases, we must mention a situation typical of our roads. According to traffic regulations, a driver driving on the main road is not obliged to yield to those leaving the secondary road. However, if no one lets the driver through and tries in vain to weave into traffic, there will be many more traffic jams in our country. That is why we are not guided here by the traffic rules, but by the concepts of solidarity and mutual aid. Giving someone else the opportunity to succeed is a matter of seconds.

The so-called rule of the three “D’s” – “Give Way to the Fool” – deserves special attention. This works great when an aggressive ‘driver’ appears along the way, pretending to be Schumacher or, worse, God. You shouldn’t teach him about life by trying to prod the rude man about traffic rules. It’s much better to just let it go. To be precise, skip it. As they say, out of harm’s way.

Unfortunately, drivers use signals that are useful for other road users less and less often. The driving culture in the country is forgotten as quickly as the numerous promises made by politicians. But in vain, because it costs nothing to flash your high beams at the oncoming car and inform you about the traffic police who have ambushed you. And the driver who is “on the tail” must flash his turn signal on the highway, indicating the possibility of unhindered overtaking. Or, on the contrary, warn of the danger of driving into oncoming traffic. Do not be disdainful of the “distress signal”, which serves as a gesture of gratitude in those cases when you were allowed to pass or given the opportunity to change lanes.

Now about parking. Agree, it literally makes you furious when someone leaves their car in the parking lot and takes up more space than necessary. But instead of one car, another could have been parked there. There are even two. Unspoken rules say that the car must be parked in such a way that there is enough space for others. Well, there’s no need to bother other road users either. And even more block exits, sidewalks and passage to waste containers. Otherwise they may be punished. Also in an unspoken way.
