According to Autostat Info, the Russian market for new pickup trucks in September grew 2.7 times compared to last year – to 1,736 vehicles, and the share of foreign cars in this volume reached 83.4% (1,448 vehicles). Chinese brands already accounted for 59.5%.
The most popular pickup at the end of the month was the JAC T6, with 332 units sold; the sales volume of the model increased 4.6 times. UAZ “Pickup” is now in second place with a result of 288 vehicles, and Changan Hunter Plus is in third place (180 units). In fourth place is Great Wall Poer with 186 pick-ups (an increase of 44.2%), in fifth place is 150 Great Wall Poer Kingkong vehicles (this was not sold last year).
The share of domestic brands, represented by UAZ alone, fell from 24.6% to 16.6%. Overall, the market for new pickup trucks in Russia increased 2.3 times in the three quarters of this year – up to 12,183 vehicles.
