The head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, announced on his page on the VKontakte network that the Russian Yokohama plant in Lipetsk will resume operation in early June. That means there is hope that motorists won’t run out of tires.
“Today, the head of the company said at a meeting that the intention is to cancel the shutdown and resume car tire production from the beginning of June. The company expects to receive rubber at the end of May. The disturbance will be gradual. But all employees, without exception, will receive one hundred percent of their salary, according to the assurances of the company’s management,” said Igor Artamononov.
Recall that the company producing tires in the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone announced a temporary shutdown of production at the end of March, citing problems with the supply of materials. Workers were allocated two-thirds of the average salary and introduced the rest position.
