The list of cars drawn up by the Ministry of Industry and Trade recommended for government tenders for civil servants also includes models of the revived domestic brand “Moskvich”. In 2024, the factory plans to add three more new products to the list.
As Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports with reference to the Moskvich press service, the production volumes and capacities of the Moskvich plant “can fully meet the need for vehicles for official purposes of state and municipal employees.” The company plans to continue introducing new models to the market – next year, after switching to small unit assembly, three more machines should be put on the conveyor belt.
Now the company produces three models: the Moskvich 3 crossover, the electric version Moskvich 3e and the Moskvich 6 liftback. The production development strategy provides for a gradual increase in the level of localization by attracting a broader group of local manufacturers, Moskvich noted. The factory has already launched its own body welding in test mode and painting will begin soon.
