AVTOVAZ subsidiary LADA Sport has started production of a “warmed up” version of Vesta – the Sportline model. The cars are being assembled in small batches and will appear in dealer showrooms in about a month, at the end of November.
According to Avtograd’s public news page on the social network VKontakte, citing insiders, white Vesta Sportline sedans began to roll off the assembly line, although at the official presentation the “warmed-up” new product was also presented in a station wagon body. Probably the reason is that the parent company is not yet producing five-door cars – production should resume in November.
Vesta Sportline is produced in a limited edition – the Sport version in the previous generation of the model was assembled about 2-4 cars per day, provided there are no problems with components. About the same volume can be expected for the Sportline modification – probably even slightly more, taking into account the transition to two shifts.
The Sportline version differs from the basic version in bumpers, sills, a spoiler, red inserts on the body and interior, 17-inch wheels, larger brake discs, a black roof, a two-pipe exhaust system and a suspension with an underbody. clearance reduced by 20 mm. It has a 1.6-liter engine with 118 hp and a five-speed manual gearbox.
