According to Rosstat, 358,000 passenger cars were assembled in Russia from January to September, also 2.7% more than a year earlier. Truck production increased by 14% in the same period and had almost doubled in September 2023 compared to September last year. Last month, 17,100 trucks rolled off the assembly line, 118,000 in nine months.
Production of buses weighing more than five tons per month increased by 7.2% compared to September last year – to 1,200 units. Since the beginning of 2023, 9,700 have been collected.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized that the industrial production index shows positive dynamics for the seventh month. According to the department, this may indicate the sector’s adjustment to current macroeconomic conditions and continued growth after the recovery.
