Earlier, the executive director of Haval’s Russian representative office said at a press conference of the Great Wall Motor concern that the construction of a plant for the production of power units, which began in 2021, is almost completed. In September 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade concluded a special investment contract with the Russian subsidiary of the Chinese automotive group GWM, Hawale Motor Manufacturing Rus.
The volume of investment in the localization of Russian production amounted to 42.4 billion rubles – this is the production of components such as the engine, gearbox, electronic units and control systems.
