Is it possible to fill the engines of Japanese crossovers with Turkish motor oil?
The best option to avoid mistakes when choosing a lubricant for engines is to study the results of real road tests of a particular lubricant, which are carried out directly on the car itself. The AutoVzglyad portal introduces one of these tests, performed on a Nissan Qashqai SUV.

Nissan compact crossovers, such as the Nissan Qashqai, are a dime a dozen on our market. According to experts, there are hundreds of thousands in our country today. And for this whole mass of cars, until recently, dealers recommended fluids and lubricants from very specific Western brands. However, the products of these manufacturers are now almost impossible to find. On the other hand, many other previously unknown ‘oil’ brands have appeared on the shelves.

This situation is sure to cause headaches for car owners. Especially for those Japanese owners who, before the famous events began, relied exclusively on original parts and consumables. In addition, today in former Nissan centers, cars of this brand are mainly maintained with non-original fluids and car parts.

The noted trend also applies to lubricants for the Nissan Qashqai. For example, motor oils from Middle Eastern countries, including Turkey, have appeared on the market in the past year. However, for many new products there is still no information on their actual performance indicators.

That is why for many owners of used Kashkai cars, any information about tests of new types of engine lubricants carried out directly on cars of this model is very useful. We bring to your attention the results of one of these tests, organized with the participation of experts from the AvtoVzglyada portal and the AutoParad resource (https://auto-parad.ru/).

In particular, today we will talk about the results of practical sea trials with the “synthetic” PrimusMV 5W−40 from the famous Turkish brand Lubex. At the beginning of this summer, this oil was poured into the 2-liter engine of the MR20DD series, which has been equipped with many modifications from the Qashqai. By the time the experiment started, the mileage was 36,500 kilometers. After refueling with Primus MV 5W−40 oil, the car has put another ten thousand kilometers on the odometer.

Note that during the test period the car covered daily kilometers in Moscow and the Moscow region, most of it moving in a heavy urban cycle. Which undoubtedly added intrigue to these tests, because experts had the opportunity to test Lubex products under extreme conditions, including both heat and constant “pushing” in traffic jams.

At the end of the test, the lubricant was drained and sent to one of the capital’s fuel and lubricant centers for examination. The actual performance capabilities of the product were assessed by comparing the results of the “run-in” analysis with typical values for fresh Primus MV 5W−40 oil. The results are given above. It follows that Turkish oil has successfully passed a rigorous cycle of road tests.

In addition, an indicator such as the suitability of the Primus MV5W-40 “synthetics” can be rated “excellent” according to experts when used in the Nissan Qashqai. In particular, the engine lubricant showed good stability of operating parameters. This applies, as can be seen from the table, to both the viscosity and the protective parameters of the Turkish product. The same can be said about the cleansing properties. The values of their indicators naturally decreased during testing, but remained at a completely acceptable level.

However, the benefits of Lubex’s proven oil are not limited to the above results. Experts compared the physical and chemical properties of the ‘synthetic’ Primus MV 5W−40 with comparable properties of the original Nissan Oil 5W40 oil. And it turned out that in certain parameters it is not only not inferior to the “original”, but even surpasses it.
