The state-owned company Avtodor warned motorists of depriving drivers of driving licenses for driving on the M12 Moscow-Kazan highway with dirty or illegible license plates. Traffic police have already started carrying out corresponding raids.
As Kommersant reports, citing data from the state-owned company Avtodor, in September traffic police raids were carried out on the M12 Vostok section from Moscow to Arzamas to identify violations of the rules for placing registration signs. As a result, twelve orders were issued for driving vehicles without license plates, with license plates covered with foreign objects or even placed in places not intended by the design. For this, drivers risk a fine of 5,000 rubles or even deprivation of their “rights” for up to three months. In addition, traffic officers issued ten fines for illegible license plates.
Avtodor emphasized that such events on the M12 Vostok will take place regularly. Let us remind you that the section of the highway from Arzamas to Moscow was put into service in early September – its length is 415.5 km, of which 308 km is the toll section. At the same time, there is not a single photo/video recording camera on the highway.
