A new car deal may appear in the Moscow region

The authorities of the Moscow region, with the participation of private investors, are preparing a project for a new highway. The promising 39-kilometer highway will connect the recently opened M12 highway with the Mytishchi highway, which is still under construction.

As Kommersant reports citing the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow Region, the Eastern Expressway will connect the Yaroslavskoye Highway with the M12 highway. The new road will pass through the urban districts of Ivanteevka, Fryazino, Bogorodsky, Losino-Petrovsky and Shchelkovo, improving their transport accessibility and chord connections between outbound highways. The technical parameters of the project have not yet been published.

The department is considering various options for implementing the facility, including using extra-budgetary sources. The construction dates have also not yet been determined. In December last year, the Moscow Regional Architecture Department ordered the preparation of maps for the construction of the Tarasovka-Ivanteevka road, which should become one of the sections of the future highway. The commissioning of the new road in the future will create a convenient transit corridor from the Yaroslavskoye highway to the M7 Volga, making it possible to remove part of the transit from residential streets, experts note.

The main risks in the construction phase are the passage of the route in an area with fairly dense residential development and the need to purchase a large number of plots.
